Product detail

SR-120 uses the same bolt-free connector as SR-90 on a heavier section. It is specified when the bay load, not the beam load, is the limiting figure: tall frames, dense unit loads such as tile, drum or battery stock, or a double-deep layout where two pallets sit on one beam pair.

Why the frame runs out first

Every level you add loads the same two uprights. A six-level bay at 2 500 kg per pair is a 15 000 kg frame problem before it is a beam problem, and the failure mode is buckling in the bottom bay rather than a sagging beam. The 120 x 95 mm section in 2.0 to 3.0 mm gauge moves that limit up without changing the beam range you already stock.

Double-deep

Double-deep halves the number of aisles and needs a pantograph or telescopic fork truck to reach the back pallet. Beam pairs are set to the combined weight of both pallets, and the layout has to allow the extra reach depth plus the tolerance the truck actually holds, not the tolerance in its brochure.

Tall frames

Above roughly 8 m the frame becomes sensitive to how square it was set out and how flat the floor is under the base plate. We shim to the calculated tolerance and record the shim thickness at each foot on the as-built drawing, because a leaning frame is the single most common finding at first inspection.

Seismic

Where the site sits in a seismic zone, bracing pattern, base fixing and beam connector are calculated for the ground acceleration stated for that location and the result is issued with the layout.
