Description

Engelmann is lighter and less stiff than Sitka, so on a body with 1,080 cubic inches of air behind it you get an instrument that responds to almost nothing and keeps ringing afterwards. Rosewood adds the deep bottom and the glassy top; the two together make an instrument that is glorious solo and occasionally too generous in a mix.

If you play in a band with a bass player, take the J-16 instead. If you play alone in a room, this is the one.
