NUELLE started because two of us could not find a bra we were willing to wear for a full day. Not a comfort problem exactly — a design problem. Almost everything on the market is engineered to look right on a hanger and photograph well flat, and then it digs, rides or gapes on an actual body for fourteen hours.
What we make
A short collection: soft-cup and wireless bras, seamless and cotton briefs, washed silk for sleeping in, and one light shaping piece. Ten styles, not two hundred. Everything is graded on the same block by the same pattern maker, which is why a size that works in one style tends to work in the next.
How we make it
Small batches in a single atelier. A run is a few hundred pieces, which sounds inefficient and is, but it means a fit complaint reaches the pattern table before the next cut instead of after ten thousand units are already in a warehouse.
We buy three fabrics from two mills and we keep buying the same ones. Restocking a style with the same roll is the whole point — the piece you reorder in a year should feel like the one you already own.
What we do not do
We do not run seasonal drops, we do not discount to clear stock we over-ordered, and we do not publish a size chart we have not fitted on real people. If a style is not right, we would rather stop making it than put it on sale.
Fit exchanges
Getting a bra right by post is genuinely hard, so the first exchange is free within 30 days. Wear it around the house with the tags on. If the band rides or the cup gapes, send it back and tell us what happened — that feedback is how the next grading gets better.
