Chantilly is a slow lace: fine ground, dense floral motifs, and an edge that has to be cut by hand to follow the pattern rather than the pattern piece. That is why this set takes longer to make than anything else we do and why we only cut it to order.

The bra is unlined with a soft cup and a fine wire; the brief is cut high on the leg with a lace-covered elastic at the waist. Both are ivory, which photographs a touch warmer than white.
