FAQ

Dishwashers, ovens, glaze variation, shipping and replacements answered.

Quick answers to what we get asked most. Anything else, ask us directly.

Is everything really dishwasher safe?

Yes – stoneware fired to 1,300 degrees is fully vitrified and lives happily in the dishwasher. The two exceptions are noted on their product pages: the teapot’s cane handle comes off first, and we recommend hand washing the drip-glazed mug to keep its edge crisp.

Why does my piece look different from the photo?

Because it is. Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so drips land differently and celadon pools its own way on every rim. Photos show a representative piece from the same kiln load.

Can I put stoneware in the oven?

The bakeware line is oven-rated to 230 degrees. Plates and bowls are for warming only. Never move any piece straight from fridge to hot oven – thermal shock is the one thing stoneware cannot forgive.

How fast is shipping?

In-stock pieces ship within 2 business days, double-boxed with recycled padding. Orders over $79 ship free.

What if something arrives broken?

Photograph the box and the piece within 7 days and write to us – a replacement ships immediately while we deal with the carrier.

Can I replace one piece from a set?

Always. Every piece in every set stays individually available, and we match glaze batches as closely as the kiln allows.
