Hot Water Rail Heating
Rail heating that puts pipe temperature at crop level and doubles as the transport rail, with mixing groups controlled per compartment.
- Pipe diameter 51 mm
- Flow temperature 30 - 85 °C
- Rail gauge 550 mm
Low-gap screen installation that saves energy at night without trapping humidity.
A rack-and-pinion screen installation with controlled gapping, letting a house hold heat at night while still exchanging enough air to keep humidity in band.
Indicative lead time: 9 - 11 weeks
A closed screen is an excellent insulator and an excellent humidity trap. Growers who close fully on cold nights routinely wake to condensation on the crop and a Botrytis problem three weeks later. The screen system addresses this with fine gap control: the climate controller opens the screen by one or two per cent to bleed moist air into the roof space, holding most of the energy benefit while keeping VPD out of the danger zone.
Every wire, gutter and drive shaft above the crop removes light for the entire life of the greenhouse. Our installations are laid out for minimum projected shadow at solar noon on the shortest day, which is when your marginal light is worth the most.
Screen installations are frequently fitted into producing greenhouses. We stage the work compartment by compartment with the crop in place, working from mobile platforms above the gutter line.
