Transformer Neutral Point Protection Assembly

This assembly is intended for neutral-point overvoltage protection of transformers with ungrounded neutrals in 110 kV – 330 kV effectively grounded power systems. It provides two operating modes – neutral-point grounding and neutral-point ungrounded operation, to protect the transformer body from damage resulting from neutral potential rise under system fault conditions.
This assembly is manufactured in compliance with DL/T 620: Overvoltage Protection and Insulation Coordination of AC Electrical Installations, which specifies relevant provisions on neutral gap protection for transformer neutrals in 110 kV – 330 kV effectively grounded power systems. Its design complies with the technical requirements for preventing grounding grid faults and overvoltage accidents stipulated in SGCC’s Eighteen Key Countermeasures Against Major Power Grid Accidents.
The assembly consists of disconnectors, surge arresters, protective gaps, operating mechanisms, current transformers, bases, support columns, and other auxiliary components.
