Rsafele offers Transformer Winding Fiber-Optic Temperature Monitoring System.
This system is a high-precision online monitoring device for direct, real-time measurement of hot-spot temperature inside transformer windings.
Using fluorescence decay, Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG), or gallium arsenide temperature measurement technology, the system embeds passive optical fiber sensors with excellent insulation performance at key winding positions. It precisely senses temperature via optical signals and is fully immune to interference from strong electromagnetic fields and transformer oil environments.
The system truly reflects the temperature rise at winding hotspots, effectively eliminating the time lag and measurement errors inherent to traditional indirect estimation relying on top-oil temperature. It significantly improves early warning performance against risks including overheating and insulation aging.
Its core functions cover preventing winding thermal damage, supporting dynamic capacity expansion, optimizing condition-based maintenance strategies, and complying with the technical requirements of smart substations for primary equipment condition sensing.
The system comprises fiber-optic temperature sensors, temperature measurement hosts (demodulators), dedicated optical transmission cables, optional local display & alarm units, and host computer monitoring software. Featuring high reliability, superior insulation and long-term operational stability, it is widely applied to oil-immersed power transformers of 110 kV and above, acting as an essential intelligent solution to secure the safe operation of grid primary equipment.
