Position is the cheapest weld quality improvement available. Welding in an unfavourable position costs speed and invites defects. A coordinated positioner keeps the joint in the ideal welding position throughout the sequence, so the robot can weld at the speed the process can actually sustain.
Coordinated motion
The positioner moves as part of the robot’s own motion system, so part rotation and torch movement are synchronised. Round seams are welded with a steady arc and a rotating part — one continuous, even bead with no stop-start defects.
Sizing
Positioners are sized against the real weldment and fixture, not just a nominal payload figure. Send us the part details and we will confirm the right configuration before quoting.
