Description

Every bag we cut leaves a strip along the belly of the hide that is too small for a panel and too good to bin. This is what happens to it.

The hook

Cast brass trigger snap, the same one we use on satchel straps. It is heavier than it needs to be, which is the point — a keyring is a thing you drop.

Variation

Because these come from offcuts, shade varies from pale straw to warm tan depending on which hide that week came from. We do not sort them; you get what is next on the pile.
