Description

We made the first one of these for our own bench because every tool roll on the market used elastic loops that had gone slack within two years. Stitched slots do not go slack; they take on the shape of whatever lives in them.

Slot layout

Four narrow (chisels, awls), five medium (screwdrivers, edgers), two wide (pliers, a small hammer). The flap folds down over the working ends before rolling, so nothing punches through in a bag.

Base leather

3.2 mm shoulder — heavy enough that the roll stands on its own end when unrolled on a bench, which turns it into a tool stand rather than a floppy mat.
