Sizing & Fit

How to measure, how to read the chart, and what close fit and regular fit actually mean on our garments.

Measure first, then read the chart

Your usual size in another brand is not a reliable starting point, because there is no shared standard behind it. Take three measurements with a soft tape, over underwear, standing relaxed:

  • Chest or bust. Around the fullest part, tape level all the way round, arms down.
  • Natural waist. The narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. Do not pull the tape in.
  • Hip. Around the fullest part of the seat, feet together.

For bottoms, also measure an inseam you already like: lay a pair flat and measure from the crotch seam straight down to the hem. That number is directly comparable to the inseam we print on every short and tight.

Close fit and regular fit

We use two words and no others. There are no invented fit names in this shop.

Close means the garment is cut to sit against the body with no deliberate ease. It is what you want under a layer, and on anything over about an hour where loose fabric starts to move around and rub. The running tee, the tight and the bra are all close.

Regular means there is room through the chest and waist. It is cut to be worn on its own, over a base layer, or over a hoodie in the case of the wind shell. The hoodie and the short shell are regular.

Between two sizes

Size up in tops and down in bottoms. A top a size up gains room where you want it and about 2 cm of length, which is rarely a problem. A bottom a size down keeps the waistband doing its job, and every waistband in this range either has a drawcord or is bonded wide enough to hold.

If it does not fit

See Shipping & Returns for how to send something back. Tell us what did not work and we will add it to the fit notes on the product page, because a garment that runs small should say so on its own page rather than in a review.
