The last mile is statistically the worst part of any cold chain, and the reason is simple arithmetic. A trunk movement has two door events. A city route has forty. No vehicle refrigeration system recovers from forty door events across a working day.
Let the box hold the temperature
So we stop asking it to. Product travels in passive shippers that were pre-conditioned overnight at the satellite hub, with phase-change packs matched to the required band rather than generic gel. The van becomes a mild, stable environment rather than the primary control, and each shipper carries its own logger that is read out at the drop.
Route rules
- Shippers conditioned for a minimum twelve-hour route profile with a two-hour reserve.
- One logger per shipper, read out and countersigned at the receiving point.
- Spare conditioned shippers carried on every van for re-packs after a failed delivery.
- Routes sequenced so that the longest-dwell drops are cleared first.
The trace on this page is a real route: you can count the door events in the sawtooth, and the two logged excursions are both at the tail of the day. That is why the reserve exists.
