Skyplot Aerial is an independent geospatial data capture firm. We fly, we process, and we sign the accuracy statement. There is no third party in the middle of that chain, which is why we can tell you what a number means rather than passing on somebody else’s claim about it.
What we believe about numbers
A survey figure without a method attached is decoration. Every accuracy we quote names the control scheme that produced it, the checkpoints it was measured on, and the ground conditions it assumes. When a site cannot hold the figure — a deep pit, a closed canopy, a tidal foreshore — we say which number moves and by how much, before the flight rather than after the invoice.
How we are set up
Two field crews, one processing desk, five airframes and a control kit. Small enough that the person who flew your site is the person who classified it, and large enough to hold a 340 hectare block inside one weather window.
Standards
Accuracy is reported against recognised industry standards, and every deliverable ships in widely supported open formats your software already reads. Where a client standard differs, the client standard wins.
A note on this website
This site is a demonstration build. The company, the staff, the project sites and the contact details on it are fictional. The engineering relationships, formulas and accuracy figures are not — they are the real arithmetic of aerial survey, and you are welcome to check them.
