Capabilities

Airframes, payloads and the flight geometry we plan them with — including the arithmetic, so you can check it.

Capabilities

Every survey is a negotiation between four numbers: how fine you need the ground sampling distance, how tight the accuracy has to be, how much ground has to be covered, and how long you are willing to wait. Fix any three and the fourth is decided for you.

We publish the relationships rather than the marketing. The chart below is the same one our planners use to pick an altitude, and the flight geometry panel is why a corridor costs more per hectare than a block. Neither is a picture — both are computed from the sensor geometry.

Choosing an airframe

Airframe follows tolerance, not the other way round. Above 150 hectares the fixed-wing is the only economic answer. Under a canopy the scanner is the only technical one. On a structure, the close-range platform is the only thing that can get near enough without touching it.

Crew and currency

Every flight is crewed by a remote pilot and an observer. Pilots hold current type authorisation on the airframe they are flying, and every mission is logged with its airspace approval, its risk assessment and its post-flight coverage check.

Fleet & payloads

What actually flies your site

Airframe and sensor are chosen from the tolerance backwards, not from what happens to be charged. Endurance figures are the usable ones we plan against, with reserve already removed.

Fixed-wing VTOL

Skyplot VTOL-7 fixed-wing

Vertical launch and recovery from a 6 m clearing, then fixed-wing cruise for the mapping run. This is the airframe for anything above 150 hectares, and the only one that…

  • Endurance78 min
  • Cruise18 m/s
  • MTOW7.2 kg
  • Wind limit14 m/s
  • PayloadHigh-resolution or multispectral camera options
  • Coverage340 ha/sortie

Multirotor · RGB

Skyplot Q-450 survey multirotor

The workhorse. A purpose-built survey camera that keeps images sharp and distortion-free even at full cruise speed. Flies the majority of our topographic and volumetric blocks.

  • Endurance34 min
  • Cruise9 m/s
  • MTOW4.6 kg
  • Wind limit11 m/s
  • Payload20 MP survey camera with precise positioning
  • Coverage220 ha/sortie

Multirotor · LiDAR

Skyplot L-900 LiDAR multirotor

Heavy-lift frame carrying the scanner and its inertial unit. Endurance is short because the payload is not, and we plan against 26 usable minutes rather than the 38 on the…

  • Endurance26 min
  • Cruise8 m/s
  • MTOW8.9 kg
  • Wind limit10 m/s
  • PayloadHigh-density laser scanner plus 45 MP camera
  • Coverage160 ha/sortie

Multirotor · Thermal

Skyplot T-220 thermal multirotor

Radiometric thermal and visible imagery captured on the same pass, from the same position, at the same instant — which is what lets an anomaly carry a module reference instead…

  • Endurance31 min
  • Cruise7 m/s
  • MTOW3.9 kg
  • Wind limit11 m/s
  • PayloadRadiometric thermal plus 20 MP camera
  • Coverage180 ha/sortie

Multirotor · Close range

Skyplot C-60 close-range platform

Slow, precise and short-legged. Built for structures rather than ground: full-frame sensor on a gimbal that can look up and sideways, flown at walking pace within a few tens of…

  • Endurance22 min
  • Cruise4 m/s
  • MTOW3.2 kg
  • Wind limit9 m/s
  • Payload61 MP camera on a tilting mount
  • Coverage12 ha/sortie

Ground equipment

Skyplot GNSS base & target kit

The unglamorous half of the accuracy. A base receiver logging raw observations for the whole flight window, and enough targets to distribute a network across both the plan and the…

  • MTOW11.4 kg
  • PayloadGNSS base receiver and ground target set

How we plan

Every job is planned before it is priced

The right platform, the right sensor and the right flight plan follow from the site and the accuracy you need — not the other way round. Tell us what the data is for, and the plan you receive will already reflect the terrain, the access and the deadline.

Start a project

Send us the site boundary. We will send back a flight plan.

Share an area of interest, the accuracy you need and the format your engineers work in. You get a mission plan, a control scheme, a fixed price and a delivery date — usually within one working day.
